Warriors
Kenyet Sutekh - Warriors
The Kenyet Sutekh (the "Braves of Set," meaning
Elite Warriors) are the warrior order of the Clan, those
following the Path of the Warrior and the strong right arm
of Set. As with the Wenewet, the Kenyet Sutekh have their
own hierarchy even though they don't hold any real positions
of power within the clan. Ranking within the Kenyet Sutekh
is resolved through both proof of knowledge and physical
prowess. The former by questioning and the latter by combat.
Any lower rank wishing to rise to a greater rank must first
prove to the one they are challenging, in front of witnesses,
that they possess the knowledge of the Clan and the God
necessary to serve in this position through a questioning
by the one they are seeking to challenge. Once this test
is passed, the pair enter a trial by combat, the exact style
picked by the one being challenged. The fight is to incapacitation
unless one side or the other violates the strictures of
the challenge. If that occurs, then their opponent is free
to destroy them. Every challenge above the Kenyet/Tay-seret
level must be observed by a member of both the Wenwet and
Satu Sekhemet. At the Kenyet/Tay-seret level, only one member
o these two organizations is necessary. It is considered
extremely bad form, to challenge more than twice in a year,
at the Kenyet-Tay-seryet level, and unforbgivable, for there
to be more than one attempted challenge from any Tay-seret
to a Neb-tay-seret. Those attempting to abuse these guidelines
are watched carefully, often dissapear into the swirling
sands of the night.....
The only level which a
Setite not on the Path of the Warrior may achieve is Kenyet.

Kenyet
- Brave
The lowest
level of the Kenyet Sutekh and the only one that those not
on the Path of the Warrior can achieve. This is also be the
most numerous rank in the Kenyet Sutekh. It requires a proof
of martial prowess (Max physical
traits and Melee or Brawl x 2+) and knowledge of the Clan
and its God (Setite Lore x 2) . Kenyet are responsible for
local temple security, and often, the safety of the Wenwet
and Satu Sekhemet's representatives. All Kenyet are answerable
to their Tay-seryet.
Tay-seryet
- Standard Bearer-- One per Domain, maximum
The Tay-seryet
are the commanders of the Kenyet under their control and
answer to their Neb-tay-seryet. They must possess a greater
prowess in martial matters and greater knowledge of the
Clan (x 3 in each). All Tay-seryet follow the Path of the
Warrior . A new Tay-seryet is chosen when a Kenyet challenges
his or her Tay-seryet and drives them to incapacitation
(unless a violation of the guidelines occurs, and then Final
Death may occur).
Neb-tay-seryet
- Lord Standard Bearer
The Neb-tay-seryets
controls the placement and deployment of the Braves while
answering to the Imy-er-kenyet. The need for mental and
martial prowess is even greater at this level (x 4 in each)
and the Neb-tay-seryet may only be challenged by a Tay-seryet
located within his or her sphere of influence. The same
guidelines and outcome apply for challenges to the Neb-tay-seryet.
Imy-er-kenyet
- Overseer of the Braves
This is
the head of the Kenyet Sutekh and answers to the Imy-er-hemu-tep-neter
at the temple in South America. The necessary prowess, both
mental and martial, for Imy-er-kenyet is the same as for
the Neb-tay-seryet. However the challenge is always to Final
Death in this situation. If one seeks to challenge for the
right to lead the Kenyet Sutekh, then failure requires the
ultimate price.
