Four main bloodlines of Setite exist: Damballah,
Daitya, Tlacique, and Serpents of the Light. Damballah and
Daitya are much closer to the parent bloodline than the
Tlacique. Their main difference is ideological, where as
the Tlacique have been separated from the main clan for
so long that they have formed different disciplines. Serpents
of the Light are Sabbat, and covered in their own separate
webpage.
At lore 4, you know that the Daitya exist,
but no real information:
At lore 5, you know of the Damballah and the Daitya, and
the existence of the Tlacique:
Daitya - DST approval
The Daitya are followers of the Hindi trinity
of Shiva the Destroyer, Brahma the Creator, and Vishnu the
Preserver. The followed the armies of Alexander to the east,
taking the local gods as their analogs of Set. They called
themselves Daitya, after a legendary race who fought the
gods. Even in unlife, they follow the Brahmin ideals of
caste. They seek to bring forth the Final age of the world,
and the creation of the next cycle. Daitya act to bring
about this Final Age by encouraging mortals and vampires
to break taboos. Most Daitya follow their own versions of
the path of Typhon and Sutekh, the other two paths being
relatively unknown.

Damballah - DST approval
The Damballah Setite originally settled in
the West African kingdom of Yoruba. They worshipped Set
in the persona of Damballah-Wedo, a Yoruban snake god of
earth and darkness. This became linked to Aida-Wedo, the
Rainbow serpent, wife of Damballah-Wedo. Since the original
priests kept the connection of Damballah-Wedo with Set as
one of the great inner mysteries of the cult, the connection
with Set was lost over the centuries as the original priest
died or fell in torpor. Recent attempts at reunification
have been most unsuccessful.

Tlacique - RST approval
The Tlacique bloodline of the Setites is an
Aztec bloodline. They existed in Mexico before the arrival
of the Conquistadors. They claim decent from the god Tezcatlipoca,
good of night and black magic. Tlacique rules their cults
as gods. Tezcatlipoca, also called Smoking Mirror, was represented
by a black obsidian mirror. His worship centered around
human sacrifice as a way to feed the sun and keep it moving
through the sky. The rituals of the Tlacique aided the Sun
in his nightly death.
At first, the arriving vampires were treated
as honored guests. After all, Cortez arrived in the guise
of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent and brother to Tezcatlipoca.
After the plagues brought from the Europeans decimated the
native population base of the Tlacique, they joined with
the newly arrived Sabbat against the Camarilla. After driving
the Camarilla from the area, the Sabbat and Tlacique began
to fight in turn, over un-resolvable ideological differences.
The Sabbat systematically hunted down and diaberized the
Tlacique.
Being so long separated from their parent
clan, the Tlacique never developed Serpentis. They have
Protean instead. The Tlacique once followed a distinct path,
until their near distraction by the Sabbat. Less than a
dozen of the pre-Colombia Tlacique remain active. Neonates
and Ancillae follow the path of humanity, with few exceptions.
There exists only about 200 members of the clan active these
nights, most of them in Mexico.
The Tlacique have their own form of blood
magic called Nahuallotl. Flower of the Divine Liquor (Path
of Blood) is their primary path. They can also learn Weather
control, Lure of Flames, and Spirit Manipulation. Most rituals
require sacrifice. For More information, see the Setite
Clan Book, page 71.
